Chronicles - 60 years of EOS

1944

With the support of his family, Willi Günther produced cut-out parts and sheet metal parts, kitchen scales made of wood and metal, as well as fittings for the oven and stove industry in a small cellar in his residence. Soon, even more household appliances were added, such as bean and tobacco cutters, as well as larger and more powerful machines.

1948

Construction of the production hall in Mademühlen (Westerwald); annual increase


1950

EOS brings oil-filled electric radiators to the market

1968

Construction of the production hall in Driedorf (Westerwald)

1973

Entry into the sauna technology sector with the construction of ovens and controllers for Finnish saunas

1979

EOS grows to become market leader for sauna technology in Germany and has remained so to this day

1989

Takeover of the company Dr. Kern by the Günther Group

1990

EOS vaporisers come onto the market.

1995

Takeover of the company "Reifenberg". EOS expands its product range to include under-bench heating systems and commercial sauna ovens with a capacity of up to 36 kW

1996

Introduction of coloured light systems including control units for use in saunas


2000

Utilisation of infrared technology by building its own radiating element module and the associated control units.

2001

Introduction of the 6-corner design for ovens



2003

Market launch of the "BI-O MAX" sauna oven

2004

Development and launch of the "EMOTEC control unit®"
